Our Story
Our journey began over 25 years ago with something simple: a desire to help. What started as one person cleaning homes at the age of 20 has grown into a family business built on care, consistency, and community.

Inspired by friends already in the industry, we saw both a need and an opportunity—to support people who don’t have the time to keep up with cleaning while building a life we loved. Over the years, what began as a solo venture became a partnership, as husband and wife joined forces to create a business rooted in service and reliability. We became Mr. and Mrs. Scrubbies, otherwise known as Scrubbies Cleaning.

What we love most about this work is the joy it brings to others. There’s nothing better than knowing we’ve made life easier for our clients by giving them the gift of a clean home—something they can appreciate and enjoy without the stress of doing it themselves. For us, it’s about more than just cleaning. It’s about creating comfort, saving time, and helping people feel truly at ease in their spaces.

Shawna Lopez
Born and raised in the Seattle area, Shawna has been married for over 30 years and is a proud mom of six and a grandmother. When she’s not working, she enjoys scenic drives, spending time with her dogs, and staying active. Family time is especially important to her, and she loves taking trips and making memories together. She also enjoys cooking and baking, and often makes food to share with her mom or other family members.
Jose Lopez
Born in Mexico, Jose moved to the United States as a teenager and has built his life and family here. He has been married for over 30 years and is a proud father and grandfather. Outside of work, he enjoys grilling burgers, working in the yard, and spending time with family. He is easygoing, observant, and has a good sense of humor. Jose is also very detail oriented and the kind of person who notices the little things others might miss.
